All the good vibes

Been so long right?

Was too bz to drop words here... 1stly, it was with class & assignments. Then later, the tension had been building inside... gotta get it out of the system... so went thru lepak mode the whole week! Lucky i have 2 frens (Ira & Saf) who are mostly on the same wave... so i had good company. Only one is constant company... the other, sometimes, can't accept the fact that we're lazing around and doing nothin productive with our time hahaha!

We found out that the others in our class call us 'astlers' (i guess that's how they spell it).. its a term they give to group of students that don't have to put much effort to get good grades in class coz we're gifted. Hahaha! we laughed at that. That term is new to us (we're all from different Unis & definitely not from the Uni we're in right now). About the astler thingy... we looked the word up.. the meaning was kind of different "pretending to be stupid...".

Kind of nice to know that people think that we're great and we have all the fun and nice things in life. What made us 'astlers' are not bcoz we're born with that 'special power'. I guess we had enough mind and also the laziness in us that we always find the easiest possible ways. 1st of all, we mix around a lot of different people, we don't constrict our social network... and we don't constrict our mind either. We are open to suggestions... we know how to focus on what's important and filter what's not. We do NOT follow the textbook... i study using Google Search Engine. We read books that are current and NOT the books from last millenium they had in the library. We choose our books.. we only read a few books... we don't waste time reading all those theories that nobody could ever figure out how to use them in real life. Read the news at least once a week (since most news are repetitive)... most important of all, i sit in front of the class, next to Saf so i won't get distracted by the others' flexing movements in order to stay awake thru the lecture. Ira sits at the back... but she's got better brain, she can afford to be distracted.

Saf was new addition to me & Ira. It was good that we had Saf.. she was the mising link we needed. She is the most disciplined of us 3... always finishing her work 1st b4 doing anything else while the both of us would do 15 minutes work for the 45 minutes we spent lazing around. Ira and I i have attention deficit problem (we diagnosed it ourselves) since we get bored easily. But we get things done in time... never late.

We have the Rubik's cube to fill our time and to work our brains... though we still can't figure it out yet, we just enjoy twisting the cube around and have the others in class green with envy, thinking we're so smart we're trying to break the rubik's code on our own. Then Rubik's got too exhausting for the brain... i changed to Kakuro (its harder than sudoku) this morning... Ira is getting the hang of it. Saf as usual.. the spectator... she doesn't have attention deficit problem. One of our frens told me "You always have a toy or something u have fun with everytime u come to class..." Mission accomplished! they noticed. I am trying to get them to have some fun and be less tensed. 2 days before i had a bouncing ball that traveled all over the class while i was playing with it, not that i did it on purpose.. i was trying to pass time.

the whole of last week... everyday, yes i mean EVERYday, after class, we'd hangout or go shopping at least in Subang and as far as the Gardens. everyday we tried dragging other frens from class to live our life for a day (cam selebriti la plak.. tak bley blah). As expected... no one could stand it... hahaha! some even avoided going to lunch in the same car with us lest we drag them somewhere else. its been goin for 9 days... we decided to give it a rest today.. we get tired too! and we have assignments due tomorrow.

Oh yeah... something i'd want to remember... what happened last Saturday. Ira requested for our company on the day she's supposed to spend time with her other frens. Saf's 18 year old bro wanted to come with us... so we said OK. He was a lot of fun... halfway to Ampang he's our lil brother... his name was not needed.. we called him Adik. We went for lunch at Sari Ratu Ampang. On the way back... we used the inside road and turned up before the Petronas & McD, heading towards Flamingo... we were trying to get on to the elevated hiway... but the jam was so bad. A car suddenly went into the other side of the road and turned into the hiway next to the petronas. Ira asked me "Can we do that?", i said "sure!".. she hesitated for a while then went for it. I did NOT expect that from her! as soon as we were on the other side.. cars started coming from the opposite direction and we're stuck in the middle... i was like "go, go,... just drive on slowly" and she drove on while the cars suddenly stopped (stunned by our action) and nobody honked on that busy road... i guess they were as horrified as we were. Lucky we're in VW Beetle... if we were driving Kancil... definitely someone wouldn't mind banging into us. We managed to get thru the bz road and got on to the hiway... the feeling was incredible! it was horrifying but so much fun. Adik was cheering from the backseat... he was so excited about it.

We went to OU... Adik was a great sport. We shopped and hangout.. Delicious Cafe was full so we went to the boring coffee bean.. we didn't get to eat our fave banana pudding. Sent Saf & Adik home around 7pm... get some rest at their house before we head back home.

The next day... i thought we weren't supposed to meet on Sunday. Ira texted... her husband wants to take us out for dinner. We went to their fave japanese place in Saujana Subang... can't really remember the name (i'm no fan of japanese cuisine) but i think it was Kogetsu. Very nice restaurant... but it was too damn cold! The 3 of them really enjoyed dinner. I used to eat raw food and i can eat.. i just don't want to. I ate what was cooked... skipped all the raw food... i wasn't that hungry anyway. but the food was really nice... I'd kill the chef if it wasn't good coz they're expensive. I tried salmon roe... it was nice and shiny, looks nice... it breaks in my mouth and all my appetite gone!

During dinner, Ira's hubby asked wat my fave food is... i just realized i didn't really have any. So i answered.. "I don't know... i guess i don't indulge...". I can eat many things.. but i don't really have any that i would call my fave. I do think that i shouldn't indulge... coz once i do, i'd work my way to spoiling myself. Life had taught me not to indulge and to work on self-control. I'm kind of succeeding :P

Other things...
Reena's birthday party is this saturday but i have group discussion... will try to show up. That cute lil princess turning 4 (or is it 3?) ... Hope she has a great party. I wonder what the group is buying for her present.

Speaking of birthday... did i mention i got an ipod nano 3G from BRFC... thanks girls! Love it. I stored all my songs and fave vids on it. I wasn't expecting anything... i wouldn't mind anything but iPod is cool hehehe :) ... And Ira bought me a GANT polo-T on one of our excursions. I didn't want to choose, i asked her to but she was really upset and insisted that i did... so I had to choose and she was all smiles again.. If iknew she was upset the whole time coz i didn't want to choose, i would have chosen earlier and save the misery. I love the T too. It wasn't about it being iPod or GANT... i luv it coz my frens got it for me. Even if i prefer something else (which i don't), I would have liked wat i received from them better... after all... its the thought that adds value to those things. I am blessed with nice frens, Alhamdulillah.

Need to head off to bed now... got class tomorrow morning. Considering skipping class tomorrow... but don't think so. I always like telling that particular lecturer of our excursions... and she likes to listen to our stories. I like her coz she listens when i speak. and missing class would mean missing telling her the horrifying incident with the Beetle (she's into Beetle.. she had us do assignment on VW this week).
