WTA CHAMIONSHIP: SHARAPOVA VS IVANOVIC

The match I've been waiting for... I stayed up until 3 am... the time they play. I was really hoping that sharapova would win... She has not won much this year... it would be great to see her end the year with the sought after championship and get her ranking up. Ivanovic had a great chance of winning.. seeing her play, i think it would be tough for Sharapova with her shoulder injury. But i prefer for Ivanovic to lose coz she'd have a better chance defeating Justine Henin in the semifinal. So hopefully Sharapova and Ivanovic would play each other again in the final.

I stayed up and enjoyed the game... Sharapova is in her best form this year... she's very determined to make up for lost times. Seeing her stats during the match... incredible! As for Ivanovic... I think she's kind of intimidated by sharapova but she seemed relaxed enough. She played well but Sharapova played her best... and i think that ivanovic does not put great importance into the match since she had qualified for the semifinal... and i think and i assume that she wants to play against Henin. She had won against Henin before... I think she wants to repeat that again... if she were to lose in the semi (which i think she thinks she is going to lose), better lose to the greatest player. I do think that she is the best to play Henin.

Sharapova... i predict she'll be making the final. Since she sustained the right shoulder injury... her strength being her serve, she had changed the way she serves coming into the championship. Her serving angle had been changed to accomodate the shoulder problem. So she kind of plays differently than she used to, making it hard for her opponent to predict. But her backhand... is another strength. Her only weakness is her footwork... u make her run, u make her clumsy... being 6'2" and weighing a mere 59kg... she will not balance well. Ivanovic being the same height but weighing 14kg more, has better balance... thus having great footwork to work her way around the ball for the "bye-bye" forehand.

One complaint... the Eurosport (CH814) has the worst live telecast i've ever watched! During the Sharapova-Ivanovic match... beginning of the 2nd set... all of a sudden it switched to a live telecast of the European Rugby!! What th F^@k are they doing! What is the purpose of watching a live telecast (or even a repeat) of a sports match if we're not going to see the end of it?! Who does the programming anyway?! The greed of network company... trying to telecast all the live matches simultaneously on one channel?! I would have fire the COO of that company! Those British never do things right! Now i have the answer to why british tv programs are so full of rubbish.... they have s#!theads and dumba$$es at the network! btw, I had to look up online for the result!

Well... that was for the interrupted live tennis today... if it happens again tomorrow... i would have a lot more to say! Don't mess with sports fans ... they get really ANGRY.
